Cookie policy

Google's AdSense tag is installed while it's under review, though no ads are actually running yet. Here's exactly what that means for your browser.

Essential and local storage

  • Theme preference — a single localStorage entry (amd-theme) remembering whether you chose the light or dark interface. It is never sent to a server.

The detector itself needs no cookie. Your audio is decoded in memory by your browser and nothing about it — file name, contents, measurements or result — is written to storage or sent anywhere.

Advertising

Google AdSense advertising technology is present on this site. The official AdSense tag (adsbygoogle.js) is loaded on every page as part of the advertising integration and Google’s verification of the site. No display ad units have been placed in the site’s code yet, so the presence of this technology does not mean an advertisement is currently shown on any given page.

Where advertising technology operates, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses and similar technologies for purposes such as ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, fraud prevention, security and — where permitted and consented to — advertising personalisation. Google acts as an independent controller for that data.

Whether any such storage is actually read or written on your device depends on your geographic location, your consent choices, your browser and device settings, Google’s own configuration, and whether an eligible advertisement is requested at all. Advertising may therefore be personalised where permitted, non-personalised, or limited; not every visitor receives personalised advertising, and no advertising storage is guaranteed to be set for every visitor.

Google documents these technologies at how Google uses data from partner sites, and your own controls live in My Ad Center.

Consent

Where applicable law requires consent for advertising storage or personalised advertising — including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — those choices are handled through a Google-certified consent management platform configured in Google’s Privacy & messaging settings. This site does not operate its own first-party cookie banner, and no home-made banner here should be mistaken for a certified consent interface. Where a certified interface is shown, refusing is as easy as accepting, your choice is stored so you are not asked repeatedly, and it can be changed later from the same interface. Consent is never a condition of using the detector.

Analytics

Analytics is a separate matter from advertising. No analytics script is running on this site at present. Any analytics used in future will be privacy-configured and aggregate, and will never receive file names, file contents, local paths, raw audio measurements or detection results tied to an identity, as set out in the privacy policy.

Controlling storage

You can clear site data or block storage entirely in your browser settings. The detector continues to work with all storage blocked, and with advertising consent refused — the only loss is that your theme choice will not be remembered.
