How an AI Song Reaches the Final Audio File
Follow the artefact, not a universal recipe.

A practical production map
A user supplies instructions; a system conditions generation on those inputs; learned representations are converted into audio; the result may then be extended, edited, mixed and mastered. Vendors implement those stages differently, so no single pipeline describes every service.
Where observable changes can arise
Generation and decoding may influence texture, continuity or vocal detail. Export codecs and mastering can add stronger signatures of their own. A visible cutoff or loud master therefore does not reveal which stage caused it.
What the master cannot tell you
The final file does not contain a readable transcript of prompts, model identity or human decisions. Production records and disclosures answer those questions more directly than reverse inference from audio.
